Motorola Razr Droid in Chinese Market PDF Print E-mail

Motorola Razor Motorola will launch a mock phone like the Razr Droid upcoming mid-December 2011 in the Chinese market. This phone is claimed to have more advanced features than the original version of Razr Droid. As quoted by Computerworld, Motorola unveiled the Motorola MT917 in collaboration with mobile operator China Mobile, which has 600 million users.

Unlike other phones, this phone would adopt a local version of the 3G technology which already meet the standard TD-SCDMA (Time-Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access). This standardization does not open wide, especially outside of China. To be able to get the 3G standardization, this mobile phones will be sold in China and must change its design or create a new cell phone.

Operator China Mobile which has a special partnership with TD-SCDMA iPhone has even offered to sell its products in China. But, there is no agreement between China Mobile with Apple. In terms of design, the phone MT917 has a 8.5 mm thick, thicker than the original Razr Droid is only 7.1 mm. However, the phone is still thinner than the Sony Ericsson Arc (8.7 mm), Samsung Galaxy S2 (8.9 mm), and the iPhone 4 (9.3 mm). Motorola has also enlarge the screen size of only 4.3 inch to 4.5 inch with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Camera resolution is also up from only 8 MP to 13 MP.
